Ghana's Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has announced her second attempt at the Guinness World Record for the longest solo singing marathon, set to begin on December 21, 2024.
This follows her previous attempt in December 2023, which ended without official recognition due to criteria not being fully met, as confirmed by Guinness World Records.
Despite surpassing the existing record by singing for over 126 hours, technicalities prevented her achievement from being validated.
The GWR said this in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) adding that despite the setback they hope she makes another attempt."We've seen how inspirational it has been for her fans…We wish Afua the best of luck with any future record attempts," they noted.
