Renowned Ghanaian rapper Okyeame Kwame has shared how he felt when his colleague, Obrafour, released the diss track Kasiebo against him in 2017.
Speaking on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty on November 14, 2024, Okyeame Kwame admitted that he was furious and initially wanted to respond in kind. "I was angry at that time; I got very angry… I wanted to react," he revealed. "I had already written books on diss songs.
I even planned to use the same beat from Kasiebo to diss him back." However, the rapper credited his wife and his academic mentor, Professor Asante, for preventing him from escalating the feud. "Professor Asante, who was my academic teacher at the time, and my wife stopped me," he shared.
Okyeame Kwame expressed gratitude to his wife and mentor for steering him away from what could have been a messy fallout, acknowledging their guidance in keeping him focused.
