President of Policy Think Tank, IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has questioned the relevance of Kelni-GVG which is being paid an amount of $1.5 million monthly since 2018 for no work done.

Speaking at a forum where elections and anti-corruption were being discussed, he indicated that since 2018 that Kelni-GVG was contracted by the government to check telecommunication theft, there has not been a single report produced by the entity on the telecommunication theft in the country.

To him, the country is being shortchanged by the deal as there is no value for money. "A Deputy Minister in this administration will call me at midnight and say Franklin there is a contract between the Finance Minister and Communications Minister and cabinet doesn't even know the details but it's going to pass so get it.

I got it at midnight and we got to work.
