The Teachers and Education Workers Union (TEWU) has expressed disappointment in government for failing to conclude and implement their conditions of service.

The Union has hinted of a nationwide industrial action from Monday November 18, 2024 if government continues to delay the process.

In a statement signed by the General Secretary of TEWU King James Azortibah, the delay in concluding and signing the collective agreement has created simmering tensions among members. "The Teachers and Educational Workers Union wishes to express its utmost concern and disappointment regarding the prolonged delay in concluding, signing and implementing the conditions of service for the Ghana Education Service.

It is worrying that the issues regarding the various conditions of service of our members have been dragging for years," Mr Azortibah wrote.
