Madam Patricia Appiagyei, a veteran politician and the first female Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly(KMA), has voiced strong support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia amidst growing public criticism.
In a discussion on Angel FM, a prominent Kumasi radio station, she urged Ghanaians to remain confident in the government's economic plans, attributing current hardships to external global pressures. "It's unfortunate to see people downplay the achievements of the NPP and Vice President Bawumia," said Madam Appiagyei, currently the Member of Parliament for Asokwa Constituency. "Most of these criticisms are grounded in propaganda, not facts.
The government has been working tirelessly, yet people tend to overlook the initiatives we have in place." When the host raised concerns about issues like rising unemployment, inflation, and economic strain-issues many Ghanaians are vocalizing-Appiagyei didn't hesitate to counter.
She argued that while economic challenges are undeniable, they're part of a global struggle. "It's not just Ghana facing these difficulties.
