Ghanaian musicians Kofi Nti and Ofori Amponsah have received a significant payout following a copyright infringement settlement involving their 2010 hit song, "Odo Nwom." This development comes after American actor and film producer Tyler Perry used the song in a scene for his popular television series, Tyler Perry's Sistas.

In June 2024, Perry shared a behind-the-scenes video from the show, which caught the attention of some Ghanaian fans as they recognized Odo Nwom playing in the background.

The clip circulated online, raising questions among music enthusiasts in Ghana about the song's authorization for use.In a recent interview on Onua TV, Kofi Nti confirmed that he and Ofori Amponsah have successfully resolved the matter.

He shared that they were represented by a legal team based in the United Kingdom, which took up the case with Tyler Perry's team.
