The Minority in Parliament has formally requested a meeting with the Ghana Police Service in preparation for a second #OccupyBoG demonstration. The protest, which is aimed at demanding the resignation of the Governor of the Bank of Ghana and his deputies, is scheduled to take place in the coming weeks. The Minority seeks to ensure that the demonstration proceeds peacefully and without any confrontations with law enforcement. In a petition to the Ghana Police Service on Monday, August 12, the Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, emphasised the importance of maintaining order during the protest.
