The vice presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof.

Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, on Tuesday, said there is no justification for President Akufo-Addo erecting his statue in Takoradi at a time when many Ghanaians are facing economic hardship.

She said Ghanaians are wallowing in abject poverty as prices of goods and services skyrocket on the watch of the Akufo Addo-Bawumia government, adding that women, in particular, bear the brunt of the present economic hardship.

The vice presidential candidate of the NDC said this when she paid a courtesy call to the Regent of Wungu, Sulemana Saka Adams, in the Walewale Constituency, to kickstart her two-day campaign tour of the North East Region.
