President 's argument that Dr. Kwame Nkrumah cannot be solely accorded with founding Ghana has been disputed by the former Member of Parliament for Gomoa West, Alex Abban. According to Alex Abban, that assertion cannot be accepted because Dr Kwame Nkrumah's name has been firmly etched in history as Ghana's founder. He, however, acknowledged President Akufo-Addo's sentiments that the other contributors to Ghana's independence cannot be sidelined. Alex Abban said he believes that the other founding fathers must be given recognition for their various roles played and collective efforts in achieving independence.
