The Supreme Court's decision to overturn Speaker 's declaration of four seats in vacant has generated extensive reactions on X as of Wednesday, 13 November 2024.

In a 5-2 majority ruling, the Supreme Court determined that the Speaker's declaration of the four seats vacant was unconstitutional.

This decision followed a lawsuit filed by , leader of the New Patriotic Party caucus in , challenging the constitutionality of the Speaker's ruling.

The five justices who ruled in favour of Afenyo-Markin's suit were Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, Justice Mariam Owusu, Justice Samuel Kwame Adibu-Asiedu, Justice Ernest Yao Gaewu, and Justice Yaw Darko Asare.
