Today, on the fourth anniversary of his passing, the Friends of the Rawlings have issued a statement to commemorate the life and legacy of Jerry John Rawlings, Ghana's former president, founder, and mentor.

His transformative leadership played a pivotal role in shaping the country's trajectory, leaving an indelible mark on Ghana's history, they disclosed Ibrahim Hardi Landlord, spokesperson for Friends of the Rawlingses, spoke passionately about Rawlings' enduring influence on Ghana. "Rawlings was not just a leader; he was a catalyst for change, steering Ghana through some of its toughest times and laying the foundation for future progress," Landlord remarked.

Under Rawlings' leadership, Ghana witnessed significant strides in areas like economic stability, democratization, infrastructure development, education, and social justice.

His tenure brought about a stable economy amidst regional conflicts, while his commitment to democratizing the country ushered in a new era with a multiparty system, enshrining Ghana's place as a beacon of democracy in West Africa.
