Former Education Minister, Prof Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi, who served under former President John Agyekum Kufuor, has spoken out against the wave of surveys and opinion polls predicting a landslide win for National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming election.

Addressing New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters in Kintampo North, Prof Ameyaw-Akumfi challenged the reliability of these polls, which have increasingly painted a favourable picture for the NDC.

While acknowledging the reputability of some of the polling organizations, Ameyaw-Akumfi argued that many of these surveys fall short in capturing the nuanced political sentiment across Ghana. "I respect the reputation of these organizations, but some of these polls are just too superficial to reflect the reality on the ground," he said.

For him, true public opinion will be revealed on December 7, when voters step into the polling stations, casting ballots that will shape Ghana's future.
