An amount of GH¢800,000 Health Centre for the people of Sunson and its surrounding communities in the Yendi Municipality of the Northern Region was over the weekend inaugurated by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Yendi, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama.
The facility include 12 -bed capacity, delivery room, records, outpatient patient department(OPD), pharmacy, children's ward, male and female wards, offices for the staff and computer room.
The Centre, which is expected to offer life-saving treatments for the indigenes of Sunson enclaves, was solely funded by the MP, as part of his efforts to improve quaity health delivery in the area.
This is the fifth health Centre Alhaji Mahama had helped to build in the municipality, and designed to provide affordable health care to reduce the need for patients to seek treatment outside their communities.
