Ebi Bright has shared the story of how she became the (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Tema Central constituency. This journey, she narrates, began with an unexpected offer from a different political party. In an interview with Joy FM, Ebi Bright revealed that in 2015, while preparing for another relocation, she received a letter from the Convention People's Party (CPP), inviting her to be their parliamentary candidate. At the time, she said she had no prior experience or knowledge about what it entailed to be a parliamentary candidate. "I agreed to meet with them and told them I would need to consult before making a decision, but somehow, the news leaked to the media almost immediately," she recounted. The media attention caused quite a stir in her household, particularly with her mother, a staunch NDC supporter, who insisted that Ebi could not run under the CPP's ticket. "My mother, being a fanatical NDC supporter, was deeply upset.
