Ghanaian Actress Gloria Sarfo has openly criticized the lack of unity within Ghana's entertainment industry, attributing the stagnant progress of the movie industry to the absence of collective action among Ghanaian actors and actresses.
Speaking on United Showbiz on United Television, Gloria shared her frustrations over an incident involving the AMAA awards, where she and some colleagues were given fake tickets, leaving them stranded at the airport.
She revealed that, despite this mistreatment, she has been the only one consistently calling out the organizers, while most of her colleagues remain silent. "It was only Fella Makafui, James Gardiner, and Victoria Lebene who threw their weight behind me," she noted. "If this had happened to a Nigerian, the whole industry would have supported her, and the issue would have escalated.
But here, I don't know if people are protecting their brand or what.
