Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has urged the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, to take decisive action and demonstrate strong leadership to end the ongoing parliamentary impasse.

This follows tensions surrounding his declaration of four seats as vacant.

The Supreme Court had stayed the execution of that ruling but the National Democratic Congress caucus insisted the speaker's ruling made them the majority while the New Patriotic Party caucus disagreed with same.

In a recent interview with Asempa FM, Kufuor expressed concern over the current state of affairs in Parliament, describing the situation as "embarrassing" and warning that it could tarnish Bagbin's esteemed legacy.
