Speaking at an awards night ceremony to climax the 2024 National Farmer's Day Celebrations on Friday, the president emphasized the history of Ghana's democracy and underscored his commitment to protecting it. "Ladies and gentlemen, as we approach the 2024 general election, let me make one thing absolutely clear again: I am unwavering in my commitment to free, fair, and transparent elections.
Ghana's democracy is a treasure we have all fought to build, and it is a legacy that must be protected.
The sovereign will of the Ghanaian people will be upheld, and any attempt to destroy the peace or undermine the democratic process will be met with the full weight of the law," the president said.
