Minister of Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has expressed the view that the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama does not believe in the free senior high school prgramme. He says Mr Mahama will collapse it if he gets the opportunity. To that end, he has called on Ghanaians to vote for the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia who he said would protect and improve the implementation of the programme.Oppong Nkrumah said this while advancing an argument that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is better placed to be elected president in this year's election than his contenders, especially Former President John Dramani Mahama.Drawing the comparison between Dr.

Bawumia and Mr Mahama, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah stated among other things that Dr Bauwmia has integrity whereas Mr Mahama has been consistently inconsistent. Also, he said, Dr Bawumia's economic expansion programme is superior to Mr Mahama's 24-hour economy. In a video posted on his X page, Mr Oppong Nkrumah, who is also the lawmaker for Ofoase Ayirebi said "We need leadership that believes and invests in the youth of Ghana, Bawumia is the best choice for Ghana's youth and not Mahama.

We need to protect and improve the free senior high school programme, Mahama doesn't believe in free SHS,  he will collapse it but Bawumia will protect and improve it."We need to improve medical care for our population, Bawumia will complete Agenda 111 project all over the country and ensure that they are put to good use for you, Mahama doesn't believe in it, and if he doesn't halt it, at best he will phase it if he gets the opportunity. He added "The public purse needs to be protected, the NPP has protected the public purse and put it to better use than the NDC did and Bawumia will do it even better.

We want the Ghanaian economy to grow, you can trust that Bawumia will expand the growth trajectory of the Ghanaian economy but Mahama will retard it.
