The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has clarified that the absence of New Patriotic Party (NPP) MPs in Parliament was unintentional, attributing it to an unforeseen delay during a caucus meeting.

His comments follow Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin's decision to indefinitely adjourn the House due to the absence of NPP MPs and a lack of a prepared agenda to proceed with parliamentary business.

The session on Thursday, November 7, 2024, was initially convened at the request of the Majority caucus to address pressing legislative issues.

However, without the presence of NPP MPs in the Chamber, the Speaker adjourned proceedings indefinitely, marking the second such adjournment under similar circumstances.
