The Akim Swedru MP, Kennedy Nyarko Osei, has warned that public sector workers, including security personnel, may face salary delays if the current deadlock in Parliament persists.
The lawmaker's warning comes after Speaker Alban Bagbin adjourned Parliament indefinitely for the second time earlier today.
According to the Speaker, the rationale behind his decision was that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MPs refused to show up in the chamber after requesting the Speaker to recall Parliament.
Nonetheless, Mr Nyarko Osei in his social media post on Thursday expressed concern over the posture from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) caucus, which he claims may prevent the necessary consensus. "From the look of things and the posturing taken by the NDC caucus in Parliament, I am afraid this appropriation will suffer a consensus approval," he wrote in his Facebook post on Thursday.
