Former (NDC) member, Henry Osei Akoto, has expressed concern about Ashantis having the notion that the (NPP) was created for them. Osei Akoto, who expressed this concern while reacting to the Agyapadie document, a supposed master plan of the Akyem faction within the ruling (NPP) to keep hold of the party, indicated that details of the book should be an eye-opener to Ashantis. He, in an interview on XYZ TV, said while Ashantis have always been faithful to the NPP, thinking the party is their birth right, the party has continuously been unfaithful to them, but they keep voting for them. "The things in this book show their evil plot against the people of Ghana as if we are foolish and Akufo-Addo is the wise one. Look at the evil things Akufo-Addo and members of his family have plotted. People say all Akyems are involved in this but this is not true, it is just a few people - the Kyebi house, Ofori Panin and those around them.
