Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said that Ghana does not need to go back to a leader (Former President John Dramani Mahama,) who fulfilled only 28% of his promises as President even in the absence of the sort of global economic crisis being experienced currently. The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says that Ghana needs a leader with fresh and innovative ideas and a mindset to craft and implement bold solutions for the future. In a Facebook post after his constituency-focused nationwide campaign tour at Nsawam Adoagyiri, Ayensuano, and Suhum constituencies on Friday, August 9, Dr Bawumia said "While engaging chiefs, heads of religious bodies and a cross-section of society in these constituencies, I made the point that in this election, Ghana needs a new leader with fresh and innovative ideas and a mindset to craft and implement bold solutions for the future. "We don't need to go back to a leader who woefully failed and only fulfilled 28% of his promises as President even in the absence of the sort of global economic crisis we have faced recently. "Let's look forward and not backward. It is Possible!"
