AmaCares, a non-governmental organization dedicated to combating various forms of sexual abuse, especially among children, successfully conducted a health screening exercise at the Madina Market on October 22.

The event aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the kayayees (head porters) in the area and was marked by a strong turnout and impactful services.

A dedicated team of 13 nurses and 2 doctors came together to deliver comprehensive health checks to approximately 350 kayayees, including men, women, and children.

The screening process included registration, vital sign assessments such as BMI calculations, blood pressure checks, and blood sugar tests.
