The National Chairman of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia has appealed to voters in Afrancho-Akomadan, in the Offinso North Constituency, to reject financial incentives from political opponents and instead prioritise policies that promise sustainable development.
Addressing a crowd on the first day of the NDC's Retail Campaign in the Ashanti Region on Monday, 4 November 2024, Mr.
Asiedu Nketia cautioned that voting based on short-term financial gains could impede the constituency's progress. "We will equally share monies and goodies if that is what you want instead of using that for developmental projects," he told supporters, stressing the importance of investing in long-term growth over instant rewards. "How will there be development?
They have enough to spend on and yet, use the meagre to get you to vote for them," he noted.
