The flagbearer of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Mohammed Frimpong, has pledged to establish an inclusive government if elected president in the December general elections.
Speaking to the media after the party's campaign launch in Ho on Monday, November 4, Frimpong expressed concerns over the challenges faced by assembly workers across the country.
He pointed out that local governance has faced setbacks in the Fourth Republic, with assembly workers often lacking the necessary resources and support to fulfil their roles effectively.
Frimpong assured that, if voted into power, the NDP would revitalize democracy in Ghana, fostering widespread participation and empowering local governance to be more impactful. "The unit committees are not working, they're also not equipped with sufficient functionalities, that is why we have problems like galamsey fight and other little problems all over the place. "In a proper structure, we should be able to end these things more moderately and calmly, by our people… All that we need is to leverage executive power.
