The organizers of the Women in Worship concert, Genet Services, have revealed plans to take legal action against Nigerian gospel singer Ada Ehi following her absence from the event on Sunday, September 21, 2024, despite a $5,000 advance payment.
Ada Ehi was scheduled to perform in Ghana with fellow Nigerian gospel star Mercy Chinwo and Ghanaian artists Empress Gifty and Diana Hamilton as main acts.
In a discussion on Empire FM's Showbiz Today, Nana Asare, who oversees Media and Communications for Women in Worship, described difficulties in working with Ehi's team, particularly concerning her performance fee. "We contacted Ada's team to book her, agreed on the terms, and made an initial payment.
After promotional materials were released, her manager informed us they were raising the fee from $8,000 to $10,000, even though we had already paid $5,000.
