Award-winning Ghanaian actress Gloria Sarfo has publicly criticized the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for allegedly providing fake flight tickets to Ghanaian filmmakers who were invited to attend the event on an all-expenses-paid basis.   In a revealing Instagram post on Sunday, November 3, 2024, Gloria shared that she, along with other prominent industry figures such as Pascal Amanfo, Abdul Salam Mumuni, Akorfa Adjeani, and Julia Appiah, was left stranded and embarrassed at the airport after realizing they were not listed in the airline's system.

Expressing her frustration, she stated, "Who does that?" and emphasized the disorganization and lack of respect shown by AMAA.

The thespian further detailed explained that AMAA's invitation came with promises of a fully-covered trip, including flight tickets and a detailed itinerary.

However, when she and her colleagues arrived at the airport, they found no confirmed bookings and received no communication from the organizers.
