The former Member of Parliament for the Mpohor constituency, Anthony Evans Amoah, has reportedly died after battling a short illness.

According to reports from onuaonline.com, the former lawmaker and Western Regional Minister passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

Evans Amoah was elected as the MP on the ticket of the , winning a majority of the votes in both the 2004 and 2008 general elections.

He secured an impressive 19,635 votes out of 40,736 total valid votes cast, representing 48.2% of the total votes.
