A young man linked to Kumasi-based cleric Sheikh Anas Tawfiq has passed on after failure to undergo a kidney transplant surgery following a US$50,000 donation by Vice President Dr.

Mahamudu Bawumia.  Earlier, kidney transplant patient was taken to India but the surgery could not happen leading to his return back to Ghana where he passed.  Some persons had accused the Kumasi-based cleric of allegedly embezzling US$50,000 dollars to support the kidney transplant, which he denied and refunded part of the money to the patient who is now late.  Attention on the donation came after it emerged the condition of the patient was getting worse leading to Peace Dawah Media, an Islamic Charity Group starting a fresh fundraiser for the patient.  Under this new fundraiser, opposition leader John Mahama sent in a GHS50,000 donation, unaware that Vice President Bawumia has footed the entire bill of GHS100,000 and US$50,000 for a kidney transplant outside Ghana for same patient.  The matter is expected to be settled with the death of the patient.  Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Related Topics:Feature Advertisement You may like We're resolute in our belief that the peace of Ghana is paramount - Napo Oyibi Youth rain curses on King Paluta for failing to show up at an event - VIDEO You're delusional if you think NPP is winning election 2024 - Bawa Mogtari to Joe Wise Proactiveness could have averted death and destruction of property in Bawku - Mahama I'm fully committed to ensuring quality of life for Amenfi Central Constituents - Joana Gyan Bawumia, Akufo-Addo are not committed to justice, which is a prerequisite for peace - Stan Xoese Dogbe Appreciate the linkage between digitalization and economy - Bawumia Schools Mahama Bawumia drives digitalization; Mahama focuses on poultry - Annoh-Dompreh mocks You hold the key to the door-to-door campaign - Ameyaw Akumfi to polling station officers Click to comment Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
