Residents of Chorkor Santana in the Ablekuma South District of Greater Accra are opposing a District Assembly plan to build a toilet facility and borehole in their community, describing the project as unnecessary.

Residents claim the Assembly did not engage them properly and ignored their actual needs.

They warn they will actively resist any attempt to proceed with construction.

The conflict centres on an open plot of land in Chorkor Santana, currently used partly as a refuse site and partly as a football field.
