Anita Love Obo Amissah, the Municipal Chief Executive for Awutu Senya East, reported that three victims passed away on Thursday, 31st October, with two more succumbing on Friday afternoon, bringing the death toll to five.

She stated that cases had also been referred from other constituencies, including the Awutu Senya West and Gomoa East Districts, calling for a coordinated response to tackle the outbreak.
The MCE commended the health authorities for their swift action and advised residents to stay alert. "Five people have been confirmed dead after the outbreak.
