Mr.
Martin Amidu, former member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed his frustration over what he perceives as misplaced priorities within Parliament.
Amidu argues that instead of addressing pressing national issues, the legislative body has been overly consumed with determining the status of MPs planning to run as independents.
According to him, this focus has led to significant neglect of critical legislative duties, leaving essential matters like judiciary oversight and security issues in volatile areas, such as Bawku, unaddressed.
