An agent supervisor of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Mr Richard Jakpa has expressed concern over the inability of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP)to present a replacement for the deceased candidate, Akua Donkor as demanded by the Electoral Commission.
While speaking with Joy News during the Elections Brief segment monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Mr Jakpa alleged that the NDC has credible source that suggest their opponent is working behind the scenes to stop the GFP from presenting a candidate as replacement for deceased Akua Donkor, the party's Presidential Candidate "We've picked credible Intel from our opponent doing whatever they can behind the scenes for GFP not to present a replacement for the late Akua Donkor to the EC", he claimed and explained that if that happens there will be a lot of implications.
According to him, if GFP doesn't present a replacement for Akua Donkor within the stipulated 10 days, it means the GFP will be out and thus will affect the other political candidate on the ballot paper.
Mr Jakpa stated that the NDC including other parties have spent a lot of money to campaign the ballot number chosen to voters hence it will be unfair for GFP not to present a replacement and EC to decide to shift the positions of political parties.
