Health workers at Tetteh Quarshie Hospital are urgently calling for speed ramps and a footbridge along the Akwapem Mampong-Accra highway after the tragic death of one of their own, a midwife, who was struck by a speeding vehicle.

Dressed in black and red, hospital staff gathered in grief, mourning their colleague's loss with a solemn protest. "I have been hit very hard, my parents can't even sleep well," shared the deceased's sister, Sarah Nartey. "She was even supposed to graduate from Wisconsin University on November 14.

I can't ask for justice; vengeance is of the Lord," she lamented.

This fatal incident marks the sixth on this dangerous stretch of road.
