The Parliamentary candidate for Okaikwei Central, Baba Sadiq, has emphasised that the country needs parliamentarians who are genuinely committed to addressing the unique challenges of their constituencies.
Speaking on Voter Connect on GH ONE TV on October 31, 2024, he said Members of Parliament (MPs) are not only lawmakers but also serve as drivers of development in their constituencies. "Today, where we are heading as a country, the kind of MP we are looking for is not an MP that makes laws but an MP that understands the unique challenges of their constituencies and loves to rely on their experiences and insights and their own ingenuity to solve their own challenges, and that is where we are," he noted.
He accused the incumbent Member of Parliament, Patrick Yaw Boamah, of taking credit for projects initiated by the central government. "I can debate Patrick Boamah anywhere.
