Former Ghana international Agyemang-Badu has urged Ghana's U-20 side, the Black Satellites, to aim for the ultimate at the forthcoming U-20 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) tournament after finishing second in the WAFU B U-20 Championship.Ghana secured passage to the U-20 AFCON after defeating Ivory Coast 2-1 in the semi-final of the WAFU B U-20 tournament, while Nigeria joined the Black Satellites after defeating Niger 3-1 as well.By virtue of being finalists at the WAFU U-20 B tournament, both Ghana and Nigeria booked their automatic qualification spots at the AFCON.However, on Wednesday night, Nigeria emerged champions of the WAFU B competition after beating Ghana 2-1 at the Stade Kegue in Togo.Irrespective of losing out on the ultimate crown, former U-20 international Agyemang Badu, who was part of Ghana's 2009 U-20 World Cup winning squad, has encouraged the Black Satellites to focus on building a sustainable team, which is capable of competing for major honours long-term"We wanted to win the cup, the WAFU, however we couldn't.
Finals is not that bad, we qualified.
Let's keep supporting Ghana to build a team that can win the AFCON," he said."I wanted them to set the record we set in our time when we won the WAFU, AFCON, and World Cup.
