Several compassionate individuals and organisations have come forward to support Fauzia Ali, a 20-year-old whose dreams of becoming a doctor were nearly derailed due to financial difficulties.

Fauzia, unable to afford the six-year medical programme at the University for Development Studies (UDS) Tamale campus, had resorted to helping her mother sell roasted plantain in Kumasi.

Following a Citi News report on her situation, generous donors responded to ensure her talent would not go to waste.

Thanks to this support, Fauzia officially began her academic journey at UDS on Monday, October 28, 2024.
