Bismark Boateng, the Ayawaso Central Chairman of the (NPP), has stated that the country's current economic woes are not the result of poor governance. Boateng says that despite the challenges confronting the country, this administration led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has made significant gains across sectors of the economic and social lives of Ghanaians. He opined that if the country had experienced bad governance as alleged by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), there would have been a shortage of essential commodities. He stated that this government, despite the economic crisis, has made significant progress, with macroeconomic fundamentals now pointing in the right direction. He said the country has maintained fiscal discipline and managed the economy far better than the former NDC administration.
