Four persons have died after their vehicle skidded off the road into the Owabi River near Dabaah in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region.The accident occurred Tuesday, October 29.

Search party has been deployed to recover one who has been declared missing.

She has been identified as a five-year-old girl, Doreen Yassan.Bodies of 40-year-old Helena Yassan (Driver), Lordina Yassan- 10 years, Rita Agyare-41 and Boamah Gyasi- 28 were recovered from the trapped car.The presiding Member of the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of Ashanti Region, Francis Bobie Ansah , who confirmed this to Ghanakoma morning show host, Sir John described the incident as pathetic."In all, they are five," said Bobie Ansah, the presiding member at the Nwabiagya District Assembly. "It is a family of three including the woman driver and her children, a female teacher and a plumber."We don't know what caused the accident, but we got a distress call and rushed to the scene and found the car afloat.

We managed to retrieve four bodies but now we are searching for one more victim which is the driver's youngest child.
