The Kusag Traditional Council has suspended all campaign activities of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in its traditional areas.
The overlord of the Bawku kingdom, Zugraan Bawku Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, in a statement read on his behalf, warned his subjects against participating in any campaign activity of the NPP.
He accused the NPP and its presidential candidate, Dr.
Mahamudu Bawumia, of being behind the recent tensions at Bawku, which has led to the killing of about 15 people.
