The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC) party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has urged chiefs and residents of Bonakire, Jinini, and Adadiem, Dorbor communities in the Jaman North and Banda constituencies of the Bono region to continue their voting pattern towards the NDC and vote massively for the party in the upcoming December 2024 polls.Speaking during a durbar and community engagement with chiefs and people at Bonakire as part of his retail campaign tour in the Bono region, he encouraged both the Jaman North and Banda constituencies to place their trust in former president and flag bearer of NDC party, John Dramani Mahama and the parliamentary candidates for both Jaman North and Banda constituencies by voting for them in large numbers to attain victory." With John Mahama, you will have a leader with the conviction to guide Ghana into its next phase of development" he said. The NDC National Chairman bemoaned that the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia led government has not performed in promoting the growth and development of the two constituencies but assured them of better days ahead should they come into power."Your constituencies are being considered as NDC and have been neglected under Akufo-Addo Bawumia's government, the party has not brought any significant development to you since voted into power for eight years."The Jaman North and Banda constituencies are noted to be the most deprived constituencies in the Bono region, linking roads in the areas are in their bad states making it very difficult for commuters to ply.The areas are noted to be farming communities especially for cash crops like cashew and foodstuffs, farmers find it difficult to access the roads to the market.
Most of their farm produce get rotten in the farms as a result. However, chairman Asiedu Nketiah urged the constituents to vote for the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Jaman North, Yaw Ahenkroah, and Banda NDC parliamentary candidates Ahmed Ibrahim for them to be retained to bring them development.By: Claude Kumi Abisa, Bonakire-Bono Region
