The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, , has pledged to ensure that the country remains peaceful after the December polls. According to Mahama, he does not condone violence in any form and assured that any violence that may arise will not come from him. The former president made this known while speaking at the 31st Biennial General Council meeting of the Assemblies of God Church, held at the CK Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS) in Navrongo, Upper East Region as reported by citinewsroom. "As we go into another election, there is often a general sense of apprehension that something will go wrong. As a member of your church, I can assure you and pledge that I am a person of peace, and if there is any violence, it won't come from me. I will do everything to ensure that Ghana remains peaceful," he is quoted as saying by citinewsroom.com.
