Celebrated Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Livingstone Etse Satekla, professionally known as Stonebwoy has clarified that his latest album, Up & Running, was not created with the sole intention of winning a Grammy Award. Speaking at his album release party on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, the 25thTGMA Artiste of the Year explained that focusing solely on awards would be a disservice to his fans, who he sees as the true inspiration behind his music.Addressing the Grammy speculation, the artiste behind the hit song 'Jejereje' stated, "Really and truly God knows my heart…If it does happen to qualify and win, it will be part of the things that will speed up my art and craft, but then it is not my sole intention that I am creating this album for the Grammys." The seasoned musician further emphasized that his commitment is to creating music that resonates personally with his fans, rather than pursuing industry accolades.
He acknowledged that while an award could boost his career, it isn't his primary focus.
