The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has voiced serious concerns regarding the possibility of John Dramani Mahama becoming president.

According to Chairman Wontumi, if Mahama is elected, he would spend his first two years appointing ministers and scrutinising the previous government's record, rather than addressing critical national issues.

In the third year, Chairman Wontumi stated, Mahama would implement only minor policies and development projects.

However, in the fourth year, he claimed, Mahama would allegedly embezzle public funds, asserting that the NDC flagbearer has "nothing good to offer Ghanaians." "In his third year, Mahama would focus on implementing minor development projects, but his final year in office would be marred by embezzlement of state funds," Chairman Wontumi alleged.
