The Ministry of National Security has issued a strong rebuttal to a Reuters report dated October 24, 2024, which alleged that Islamist militants are using northern Ghana as a base for logistical and medical support.
Describing the report as "riddled with non-factual representations," the Ministry categorically refuted claims that Ghana is turning a blind eye to militant activities along its northern border with Burkina Faso.
According to Reuters, Ghana is allegedly allowing insurgents to access essential supplies, including food, fuel, and medical care, in the region.
This claim, the Ministry asserts, is both misleading and unfounded.
