General Secretary of the PUWU, Micheal Adum Atta Nyantakyi The Public Utility Workers Union (PUWU) has condemned the prevalence of political interference in state institutions. According to the Union, this undermines progress of these institutions and hinders conducive working environments. General Secretary of the PUWU, Micheal Adum Atta Nyantakyi said this at the 13th Delegates Conference of the Union in the Central Region on August 9. He cited the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and other institutions which have been micro-managed by politicians. Mr Nyantakyi called on politicians to desist from such acts. "Most of the companies we are working in are state companies and there are always political interference in the running of those companies.
