The 6 Garrison of the Ghana Army has held a three-tier programme of a health walk, educational talk, and breast screening to observe and promote International Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The event, themed "Screen Early, Live Longer, Join the Fight," was held on Friday, October 25, 2024, concurrently at the Bawah Barracks and Camp Nyohini.

This brought together an appreciable number of Garrison personnel and their families to observe the awareness campaign.

The General Officer Commanding Northern Command, Brigadier General Frank Nartey Tei, in his address, admonished personnel to take breast cancer seriously and use the opportunity to get tested since early detection and treatment save lives.
