An aggrieved worker of the Produce Buying Company Limited (PBC), Frederick Kwame Boachie, has disclosed that he and his colleagues now depend on their spouses to survive. This is a result of the company's inability to pay their salaries in the last twelve months. He told adomonline.com in an interview on August 8, 2024, that workers at PBC are struggling to survive as they can barely feed their families. Frederick Boachie explained that without the support of their spouses, their lives would have been unbearable, as their salaries have not been paid in the last twelve months. "There are about 750 permanent workers, but almost 30,000, including cocoa clerks. Our wives are the ones taking care of us with the little money from their businesses. "Some wives who can no longer handle the situation have left their husbands to their fate," he lamented.
