The Public Services Workers' Union (PSWU) has officially suspended its industrial action following a directive from the National Labour Commission (NLC).
The strike was called off on Friday, October 25, after the NLC mandated the union to immediately call off its strike.
The directive came after a session where both the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) and representatives of the PSWU presented their cases before the NLC.
The commission had previously summoned the government team, led by the FWSC, along with officials from the Ministry of Employment, Labour Relations, and Pensions (MELRP), and the Ministry of Finance, to mediate the ongoing labour dispute.
