The Vice Presidential Candidate of the , , has touted his government's achievements in the education sector, particularly regarding the conditions of service and welfare of teachers in the country.
In an interview with GBC on Friday, October 25, 2024, NAPO, as he is affectionately known, highlighted the major improvements in the standard of living for teachers, compared to the previous administration, stating that all teachers are currently better paid.
He explained that every teacher, including those who are newly employed, enjoys a salary three times higher than they previously did. "Before we came, NDC had started some laptops for teachers initiative and they were promised 30,000 laptops [sic].
We heard the cacophony of noises that the institution of those laptops were into party communications, it never went to teachers.
